Pie Man Theatre Company (South Portland, ME)
The existentialist philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre is perhaps best-known for his play No Exit, and it’s most famous line: “Hell is other people.” It turns out his Hell was more accurate than he could have ever imagined when Sartre, after his death, finds himself trapped in a room with his longtime partner, Simone de Beauvoir; his one-time contemporary, Albert Camus; and the woman who was a lover to all of them, Wanda Kosakiewicz. A new play in one act.
Founded in 2015 and based in South Portland, ME, Pie Man Theatre Company is a professional theatre company focused on new, emerging works and reinterpreting the classics of the theatre for today’s audiences. For more info: www.piemantheatre.org.
