Brian Calhoon (Boston, MA)
What’s a marimba? Like a xylophone, but bigger and more fabulous — just like Brian. Marimba Cabaret is an hour of musical theater favorites and pop covers reimagined for marimba, voice and percussion.
Brian Calhoon and Greg Jukes are Boston-based percussionists who have finally found a way to use their classical music training to entertain people. Brian sings and plays the marimba in heels clocking in at 7 feet tall. Director and accompanist Greg is a staple of the international fringe festival circuit with his company The Fourth Wall and their award-winning show, Fruit Flies Like A Banana.
