New Fruit (Portland, ME)

” She can’t remember. The architecture was designed to contain the gestation of horror—an improvised regulatory apparatus. But the shredding of crinoline is somatic. A fingernail under the floorboard.”

New Fruit is a feminist art collective and studio space.  Inspired by Bare Portland’s adaption of the Yellow Wall paper. Kelly sue and Gelsey Amelia summon the frame to construct Mary’s Room. With her sound composed by Deanna.

This show is part of an exciting PortFringe “double feature” event, which means you will see two short performances in the same one-hour performance slot. New Fruit is paired with The Yellow Wallpaper.
