Not Always Happy
Bess Welden & Kari Wagner-Peck (Portland, ME)
Kari Wagner-Peck brings stories from her blog and memoir to life in a work-in-progress, choose-your-own adventure style reading. “Not Always Happy” is a humorous, sharp, and subversive true-life tale about finding and raising the mighty Thorin that will change how you think about people with Down syndrome.
“Not Always Happy” is written and performed by Kari Wagner-Peck, blogger of the popular atypicalson.com, author of the memoir Not Always Happy, and contributor to The New York Times, Huffington Post, and other media outlets. Bess Welden, Portland-based theater artist, is the project’s director/dramaturg.
