Pretty Face Does A World of Good
Amanda Huotari (Buckfield, ME)
As part of the 1%, Pretty Face knows how hard it is to be a minority. She didn’t just get everything handed to her, sometimes she had to ask her dad for it. Funny and fearless, Pretty Face tackles the struggle with privilege in the land of the free.
Amanda Huotari has toured to international venues from The New York Clown Theatre Festival to Seattle’s Moisture Festival and Teatro R101 in Bogota, Colombia. She trained at L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and developed this new piece after studying “Bouffon and the Ecstasy of Mocking” with Giovanni Fusetti. Amanda’s an actress, mother, and Executive Artistic Director of Celebration Barn Theater, Maine’s center for creating and performing original theater.
