The scars of the heart are
All spirals
Nothing so clean or quick
As the words that pierce it in the first place
We sew as fast as we can
But we sew in circles.

Fueled by rage, inspired by gothic image, folk horror, the wine dark sea, and the charms we learned in childhood, Tandem blends movement, folksong, and original text to tell the familiar story of a woman betrayed. And what happens when the “meek” inherit the earth.

Company Description: Tandem Theatre Collective is a geographically separated, though aesthetically linked, group of artists dedicated to innovative methods of creating theatre and devising new works. Tandem was founded in Portland, ME in 2013 and its artists are thrilled to be part of their 6th PortFringe Festival.
