Kellie Ryan’s facility with crowd work–engaging the audience right at the start and maintaining that engagement throughout–is the highlight here. A charismatic performer who manages the neat trick of being self-aware, funny, and entirely sincere. Some interesting ideas explored, although the piece ultimately feels more about being in the moment then really processing or digging into anything, which is fine; a sort of theatrical group therapy experience, but one with nifty props and a singalong section.
