Show Description: Bloomers LeFaye Walks Into the Future is a continued exploration of the elusive and misunderstood Red-Nose Clown. Actor Jared Mongeau returns to the genre in live performance after creating the virtual This is Just Intermission, presented by Mad Horse Theatre Co., in 2021. Bloomers LeFaye is a character six years in the making, initially seen in In the Trenches, Jared’s MFA thesis, which appeared on the main stage at the Edmonton Fringe Festival, the largest theatre festival in North America.
Artist Description: Jared Mongeau (Cumberland) grew up in Maine and, once 18, joined the 140th edition of the Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey circus, then moved to California and attended Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. He has performed and studied various disciplines worldwide, including traditional mask carving and performance in Bali, Indonesia, and played accordion on London’s West End. His PortFringe 2019 two-hander, Aardvark Boat Tours, was invited to and performed for the United States Association of Fringe Festivals.
