Featuring a huge cast of local actors and inspired by concepts of “The Twilight Zone “, audience members are guided through several scenes and question space and time in ‘The Semi-Darkness Place’. Using a game show, clowns, a pie to the face, puppetry, and singing to name a few, it was clear that the crowd was engaged in the revelry of the show the whole time.
I don’t think I’ve heard such joy from people in a while. With laughter, jeers, and a group sing of “Bohemian Rhapsody “ filling Three of Strong to the brim, this was the best excuse for staying up late on a Wednesday night. Yes, this writer was randomly chosen to participate in the game show and may have a date at a local bar with the green blob-like puppet, Grumbo, to do some naughty adult things. Luckily, I’m not ashamed and truthfully need more of the experience. Portland needs more shows like this. Seriously though… Why was it only one night?!
